Miranda 0.8 RC2 bld.2 (or bld. 0.8.0.34) includes nothing but a bunch of very serious fixes: memory leak fixes, crash fixes, stability improvements. Just a weekly refreshment build.

Ok, it’s time to present Miranda 0.8 RC2 (build 0.8.0.33). Another two weeks of fixing bugs passed, and here is the result:
- some memory leaks and crashes were fixed;
- almost all IRC bugs were fixed;
- some fixes for Jabber & AIM;
- some minor fixes for the core.

So we have now the very narrow set of important bugs to be fixed… hopefully we’ll see RC3 soon & then – the release of 0.8.

Miranda RC1 bld.2 (or build 0.8.0.30) includes nothing but numerous bugfixes, in almost all plugins & the core.

It’s compiled only to provide the more stable version.

It finally happened. Today we present the official Miranda 0.8 RC1, which includes:
- redesigned YAHOO protocol with multi-account support (thanks to Gennady Feldman for that);
- the preview of new Miranda’s options, awaited for a long time (by nullbie). If you don’t need them, simply disable/remove the modernopt plugin.
- the whole bunch of various fixes, changes & patches were applied, tens bugs were closed in the bug tracker.

The future builds of 0.8 will primary address the stability and maintenance issues, plus minor code reorganization. Hopefully we’ll see the 0.8 release in a few months.

Well, after five weeks of intensive hacking, we proudly present build 0.8.0.28, with tons (or tens? :) bugfixes in almost all modules, including the core.

Robert asked me not to call build 28 “release candidate”, cause it misses the key feature: multiacc-aware YAHOO protocol, but in fact it is RC1, considering the degree of quality of the core & core plugins.

The following things still have to be done:
- fixes for xml core driver, to allow more convenient programming;
- YAHOO protocol should be adapted for the multiaccount model;
- some important fixes for the protocol interfaces, including support for unicode file transfers, unicode status messages etc.

Enjoy. We still have some hundred bugs to fix :)

- a whole bunch of small fixes in the core, Jabber, Aim, MSN;

Okay, build 26 should be last pre-RC1 build for 0.8. In this build:
- massive update for the account management code, including accmgr auto popup when there’re no accounts, fix for old nasty bug with accounts order etc.
- tens of another minor updates & bugfixes for core, mainly considering the menu creation & management code (so called genmenu);
- significant update for tabSRMM & clist_modern, lots of new code.
- some fixes & additions for MSN & AIM protos.

- numerous fixes & improvements for AIM protocol;
- some minor fixes for IRC, Jabber, MSN & YAHOO;
