You may have noticed that a new Addons web site is now available. We would like to thank Tjado for his hard work integrating Addons into our current design along with moving the server to a new location.

If you find any issues that have come up after these changes, please let us know. Also, you can find a more complete list of the changes in our forums.

Miranda IM v0.8.1 Released

The Miranda IM team is proud to introduce Miranda IM v0.8.1. Miranda IM v0.8.1 contains numerous bug fixes that address issues that were found in 0.8.0. It is highly recommended that users upgrade to take advantage of all of the new bug fixes. Below, you will find a list of the many of the issues addressed in this release.

Miranda IM v0.8.0 Released

The Miranda IM team is proud to introduce Miranda IM v0.8. Miranda IM v0.8 contains hundreds of new features including the ability to add and manage accounts from the new Account Manager. Also, SSL support is now built-in to take advantage of encrypted connections (no more configuration is needed). It is highly recommended that users upgrade to take advantage of all of the new features. Below, you will find a list of the many of the issues addressed in this release.

Project Moved To Google Code (Important Changes)

We have moved our development resources to Google Code from Sourceforge. Most users will not be affected by this change unless you are a developer. Here is a list of the changes:

The development site moved to: http://code.google.com/p/miranda
The source repository has moved. You can find checkout information here.
The mailing lists have been moved to Google Groups. See miranda-im-develop and miranda-im-commits.

Google Code is also now hosting our downloads. Along with these changes, we plan to make more use of the services Google Code offers in the coming months. Stay tuned for more announcements.

ICQ Message Timeout Issue

The latest 0.7.18 release of Miranda contains a build of the ICQ protocol that users report has been causing connection freezes and message timeouts. Joe has identified the problem and made a new build of the ICQ available to our users while we roll a new release.

The link above points to a ZIP file which contains a single ICQ.dll file that needs to be extracted into your Miranda /plugins/ folder. For more information or detailed instructions, please see our wiki article on Installing a plugin.

Update: You can now find an updated version of Miranda IM on the download page. Please use this to upgrade your installation.
